Most business owners are going to want to find a website that brings them a lot of traffic. What they don't know is that having a lot of visitors to their site doesn't mean that they are going to get the visitors to buy anything from them. You may be surprised to find that web design is difficult because there are so many different opinions about what you should and shouldn't do to have your business succeed. If you want to get your website designed to close sales and not just bring in a lot of traffic, here is what you need to look for.

The first thing to do is to write down the answer to the question "what results do you want?". For example, you may want more traffic, to get people to buy your product, to get your company's name out there or to make money through selling advertising on your site. Once you know what you want, you are going to be best able to design your website to achieve these goals.

Next, you are going to want to talk to a web designer. Only those who are sure that they know how best to design websites are going to want to do the web design themselves. A professional is going to be able to get a clean layout and edit the copy so that it gets picked up by the search engine bots and ranked higher in the results. Also, don't forget about search engine optimization at this point when designing your web site.

Remember that you don't need a lot of bells and whistles to have a great site. A simple website means that you are going to be able to change it without help whenever you want to. It's important to periodically change your website because a website that sits stagnant for too long is going to start losing rankings on the search engine results page.

The final thing you want to do is to make sure that you track your results. If you are after results and you change your existing website, you should be able to see the results within a couple of months. If you don't see the results, make sure that you go and do some more changes and keep tweaking your website until it's perfect. Eventually you will get there.

Remember to plan a website that is going to get the results that you are after, not just a lot of visitors. Having a lot of people click on your site is important, but if they don't actually spend any time there, it isn't going to bring much advantage to your company. Focus on results and focus on getting your business to grow when designing your website. - 15432
